Ty Doolittle Veteran | Law Enforcement Professional | Co-Founder of Serving First Responders
Ty Doolittle's life journey is a remarkable testament to his unwavering commitment to service, from his dedicated military service and policing career to his heartfelt support for all first responders.
Military Service and International Experience Ty's journey began with honor and service when he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1989. Over nearly a decade, he served his country and deployed multiple times, gaining valuable experience in 19 different countries. His military service as a combat veteran instilled in him the principles of discipline, bravery, and camaraderie.
Family Life Following his military service, Ty embarked on a new chapter, moving to Vancouver, Canada, in 1997, where he met Karen. They were married in 1999, and together they built a loving family. In 2001, their family expanded with the arrival of their son, Jack, followed by their daughter, Kennedy, in 2004.
Law Enforcement Career In 2002, Ty initiated a career in law enforcement with the Vancouver Police Department, serving his community with unwavering dedication. During his early career, he showcased his versatility by patrolling various areas of the city and mentoring numerous recruits.
Dedication to Gang Enforcement Policing In 2007, Ty embraced a challenging and critical role in Gang Enforcement policing, recognizing the vital importance of this work. To support this commitment, and maintain their family’s safety, he and Karen relocated their family to Lynden, Washington, while he continued to serve with the Vancouver Police. His dedication contributed significantly to community safety throughout the Province of British Columbia.
Adaptation and Administrative Duties In 2018, due to injuries sustained on and off duty, Ty transitioned to administrative duties, continuing to support the Vancouver Police Department in various capacities.
The Support of Family Ty acknowledges that his journey has been possible due to the unwavering support of Karen and their children, Jack and Kennedy. He recognizes that their support has been instrumental in his achievements, and he credits them for where he is today.
Serving First Responders In 2022, Ty and Karen relocated to Buckeye, Arizona, for health reasons and to savor retirement. However, their strong sense of duty and commitment to service led them to co-found Serving First Responders, an endeavor dedicated to providing comprehensive support and assistance to those who selflessly serve their communities.
Ty Doolittle's inspiring journey, from combat veteran to law enforcement professional and advocate for first responders, reflects his deep commitment to service and his profound impact on the lives of those he serves.
